Earned media value

The value of reach a creator generates beyond their paid audience — reshares, saves, and comments that travel organically. The metric most often missing from influencer reports.

Earned media is where influencer marketing outperforms paid advertising, but it requires brand-lift surveys or hold-out testing to quantify. Even a rough estimate — comparing an exposed group to a non-exposed hold-out — makes the channel's value measurably more accurate.
